Most children start reading at the age of 5-6 and their reading skills?which includes reading speed and understanding potential along with fluency, evolves over time only if they continue with the habit.

Speed reading isn?t just about reading lines for the sake of it. You also need to comprehend the text and gather information with the flow at a quick pace. This skill not just helps you understand and process information quicker, but also saves a lot of time in your exam preparations? the faster you process information, the more you can learn in the given time span.

• Make sure you are focused during reading. There will always be distractions in every important work that you do. Reading is no different. In order to master speed reading and processing information quickly, you need to say no to distractions of all kinds?Facebook, mobiles, tablets, and stay focused on the text more than anything else.
